Third Party Vendor Business Continuity Plan Audit Consultant

Job Description

 

Working closely with the Third-Party Service Provider Client and their end user organisation business assurance managers, you will assess and test business resilience in line with end user business continuity policy and risk programs, guided also by their end user customer business continuity and compliance policies. The job of assessment and delivering a detailed gap analysis with recommendations will have a number of key responsibilities including:

  • Ensuring that the third-party service provider has a robust business continuity system in place, and to monitor and test it against their own business objectives but also that it meets their client’s business continuity requirements.

  • Managing all aspects of the client audit programme which will include liaising with client auditors, organising any required training internally and conducting the audits.

  • Carrying out external assessment visits to ensure the clients meet their obligations in terms of its various standards which are both internal and external.

  • Managing project risk for client projects both within the UK and overseas.

  • Carrying out quality and assurance checks and audits in relation to the hard and soft services delivered to third-party suppliers by downstream suppliers/sub-contractors.

  • Helping clients manage and achieve ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 certification, and other relevant industry standards and/or certifications where applicable.

  • Liaising with external auditing and certification bodies.

  • Testing the adequacy and resilience of the business continuity plan.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this position, applicants will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Practical experience of working within a role that covers business continuity, emergency planning, corporate risk and conducting internal audits.

  • CBCI qualification: This is a requirement but can be funded by P3 subject to certain experience and employment criteria and conditions.

  • Ideally a further formal qualification relating to Quality Management, Risk Management or Auditing.

  • Working knowledge of external certification bodies.

Job Location: Sydney; however the role is remote but travel to client sites will be required which may require international travel. Routine travel to the local P3 Audit office will depend on your workload.
